Being a Financial Planner takes not only knowledge, but dedication – to your own continued professional development so that you can provide the most up to date and relevant advice to your clients.
Emma’s journey in financial services began in 2013 and she qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2015. Joining Active in 2016, Emma continued with her qualifications passing no less than 7 exams (each requiring between 60-150 hours of recommended study!) all while working full time and managing a busy client portfolio.
Emma’s commitment to her own professional development has seen her build up a specialism of working with clients within the NHS and their niche pension arrangements as well as those dealing with various financial matters following a divorce.
At the end of 2022 Emma reached the pinnacle, becoming not only a Chartered Financial Planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), but also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) which is the highest level of qualification in our industry.
“Becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society shows that you have attained and maintained the most prestigious level of professional achievement” says Director Paul Gibson “Emma has worked very hard to achieve this – the benefit to clients in having this level of knowledge is immeasurable”
“The past couple of years have been challenging; juggling work and study with lockdown thrown in to the mix has really tested my focus, but I am happy and proud to now be a Chartered Fellow!” says Emma “This is a level I have aspired to reach since entering the industry, striving to be the best I can be as an adviser for myself and in turn my clients, to have now achieved this is amazing”
