Paraplanner Grant joins the team

We were thrilled to welcome Grant Young to the paraplanning team earlier this year.

Grant studied Maths and Physics at Dundee University and began his career in financial services back in 2014. Originally working with cash savings and investments, he then progressed to research and analysis of the full investment market. This includes pensions, investments, annuities, inheritance tax and protection.

As a paraplanner, Grant works closely with the financial planners, helping them analyse clients’ financial situations and portfolios to ensure the best financial advice is given.

For the last 7 years, Grant has developed a substantial knowledge and understanding of a number of financial analytical tools including SelectaPension, Voyant, FE Analytics and Iress Exchange.

Originally from Fife in Scotland, Grant followed his partner (now his wife) to the North-East several years ago. The couple welcomed their first baby, a boy named Spencer earlier this year.

Grant is currently working towards completing the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
